La Manga Club Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on La Manga Club Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Music, fun for kiddies and the parades of Father Christmas and the Three Kings in Totana
The festive season is upon us and the Town Hall of Totana is organizing a host of activities and events over the holiday period, including cooking, theatre, music, a gastronomy fair and of course the main parades of Santa and the Three Kings!
At the same time, the municipal nativity scene can be visited in Calle Santiago between 10.00 and 13.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00, with the exception of Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve (12.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 19.00).
The programme of events over the next couple of weeks includes the following:
Friday December 19
17.30: La Isla de las Cosas Perdidas, children’s theatre with the Compañía La Tendía in the Plaa Santo Cristo.
19.00: Christmas Master Chef competition for 12- to 17-year-olds at the Espacio Joven, entrance free of charge.
21.00: Charity gala to raise funds for Afacmur at the Teatro Ginés Rosa. Tickets 5 euros from Asadero El Parral, Electrodomésticos El Migas, Inmobiliario Santa Eulalia., Industrrias Lácteas El Torrejón and Lancería Isabel Martínez.
Saturday December 20
10.00 to 19.00: Christmas market in Calle Escuelas, next to the medical centre in El Paretón.
16.30: Father Christmas arrives in Totana and parades through the streets with presents! Route: Calle Doctor Alberto Gray Peinado, Ángle de Novele, Plaza Juan de la Cirerva, Juan XXIII, Puente, Plaza de la Constitución.
17.30: A chance to deliver your present letters to Santa in person in the Plaza de la Constitución.
19.30: The 7th annual Christmas music festival at the parish church of Las Tres Avemarías, with the Santa Cecilia choir.
20.00: Christmas concert at the church of Las Lomas in El Paretón.
Sunday December 21
10.00: A forest walk for all the family starting at the Casa Forestal de Mortí. Further information at clubsenderismototana.es or on 643 255914.
10.00 to 15.00: Christmas market with second hand clothes and accessories as well as decorations and others, with activities for children and a visit from Father Christmas and The Grinch. Venue: Plaza del Tío Juan Rita.
12.00: Guided visit to the Argaric archaeological site of La Bastida, “The Troy of the West”. Further information at the tourist office (telephone 968 418153), bookings online here. Price 6 euros with discounts for children and others.
12.30: Traditional music and dance with “cuadrilla” groups in the Jardín de Santa Maríua Cleofe.

10.00: Traditional Christmas music and dance with “cuadrilla” groups in Calle del Pilar.
19.00: Musical Mass with carols in the church of Santiago el Mayor.
Friday December 26
18.00: Canta, Juega y Baila, a children’s musical by Compañía La Nena Crea at the Teatro Ginés Rosa. Admission free of charge but please collect tickets beforehand from the Centro Sociocultural La Cárcel.
21.00: Christmas party for 12- to 17-year-olds at the Espacio Joven, entrance free of charge.
Saturday December 27
10.00 to 13.00: Hot chocolate, puppet theatre and a visit from Mickey and Minnie Mouse in Parque El Charquito.
10.00: A Christmas walk from the church of Las Lomas to the fairground in El Paretón.
12.00: A morning of fun and activities at the neighbours’ association of Cantareros.
12.00: The Gastronomy fair resumes in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja.
17.00: A musical parade with Charanga El Mono Mecánico.
20.00: Antonio Micol live in concert in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja.
21.00: A pre-New Year celebration party for 12- to 17-year-olds at the Espacio Joven, entrance free of charge.
Sunday December 2811.00: Live music from at the fountain of San Pedro (Arco de las Ollerías).

12.00 onwards: The gastronomic fair returns to the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja with music and workshops among other attractions.
12.00: Children’s New Year as the clock strikes 12 in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja.
18.00: An early chance to eat the 12 grapes in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja!
Friday January 2
17.00 to 19.00: The Royal postbox in installed at the church of Las Lomas in El Paretón for present letters addressed to the Three Kings.
20.00: Blue Moon, a New Year concert at the Teatro Ginés Rosa. Admission free of charge.
