December 3 Escape Cave game on the mountain of Cabezo Gordo in Torre Pacheco
Neanderthal remains have been found in the majestic mountain of Cabezo Gordo
This gymkhana-style game is being held on Sunday December 3 at some of the fascinating cave sites on the mountain of Cabezo Gordo, which dominates the countryside of Torre Pacheco and the Campo de Cartagena close to the inland shore of the Mar Menor.
Participants will be informed by a guide about the caves known as Cueva del Agua and Cueva del Pie del Gigante (“Giant’s Foot Cave”!), and then they are faced with the challenge of solving riddles and puzzles to find their way out of the cave.
The event begins at 11.00 at the parking area on the southern slopes of Cabezo Gordo and is expected to last approximately 2 hours. Prior registration is required here and costs 5 euros, although hunder-3s may accompany their parents free of charge (but please note, the activity is not suitable for pushchairs and the like).
All those taking part should bring comfortable footwear, drinking water and a torch.
Further information is available from the tourist office of Torre Pacheco (CAES, Paseo Villa Esperanza, 13, telephone 968 579937, email turismo@torrepacheco.es).
