Where to get real-time traffic updates on travel and roads when driving in Spain

More than 100 roads across Spain have been affected by the torrential rains of recent days

Road closures: Where to avoid

• In the Valencian Community, the A-3, A-7 and AP-7 motorways are closed, as well as several secondary roads. The most serious problems are on roads in Valencia, with cuts in several sections of the A-3, A-7 and AP-7.
• In Castilla-La Mancha, the A-3, CM-215 and GU-958 roads are closed. In Cuenca, the roads cut off are the A-3, Atalaya del Cañavate and Minglanilla, towards Valencia and the CM-215, Landete.
• In Tarragona, six roads are closed, including the AP-7 and N-340. The roads that have been closed are the TV-3341, between Caseres and Horta de Sant Joan, in Terra Alta, the N-340, between Ràpita and Amposta, the C-12, between Tortosa and Amposta, the TV-3531, in Gandesa, the TP-3311, between Sénia and Santa Bàrbara and the TV-3401, between l'Ampolla and Deltebre.
• In Andalucía, several roads are closed, including the A-393, CA-3101 and SE-3105. In Cádiz, one of the areas most affected by the DANA, the A-393 between Espera and Arcos de la Frontera, the CA-3113 on the road to Portal, the CA-4107 in Los Isletes, the CA-5101 between La Garrapata and Gibalbín, the CA-5200 and CA-6200 in Alcalá de los Gazules, the CA-6101 in Coto de Bornos, the CA-6105 in Fuensanta and the CA-9101 between Olvera and La Muela remain closed to traffic.
• In Aragon, the A-1105, A-1501 and Z-453 roads are closed. In Zaragoza, the A-1105, A-1501 and Z-453 remain closed as they pass through Jaraba and Pina de Ebro. In Teruel, the TE-28 in Blancas and the TE-V-4301, as it passes through Torralba de los Sisones, remain closed.

• Check alternative routes: Use a mapping app or the DGT website to find alternative routes that avoid closed roads.
• Postpone your trip: If possible, consider postponing your trip until the road closures have been lifted and the weather conditions improve.
• Use public transportation: Consider using public transport, such as buses or trains, as an alternative to driving.
