Until October 1 Big Wheel in Puerto de Mazarrón Along with the lighthouse and the marina, one of the outstanding features of the seafront in Puerto de Mazarrón this summer is the big wheel which has been set up alongside the marina and which is open to the public until the beginning of October.

At a height of 45 metres it is of course far smaller than the London Eye (135 metres) and a long way behind the Ain Dubai (a staggering 250 metres), but even so the 360-degree views are spectacular, out towards Cartagena in the east, Águilas and Andalucía in the west and of course the Mediterranean to the south. For this summer the Noria Mirador Princess is the largest such structure in the Region of Murcia, with air-conditioned cabins holding up to 8 people each and totally adapted for visitors of limited mobility.

The wheel is open on weekdays from 11.00 to 14.00 and 18.00 to midnight, and at weekends and on public holidays from 11.00 to 1.00 in the morning.

Tickets cost 7 euros for adults and 5 euros for children under 1.20 metres tall.
