An Ecopark is a selective waste collection facility, where citizens can deposit less common waste free of charge, which has no place in the containers installed on public roads. Others who can make use of the Ecoparks, free of charge, are those shops, offices and services whose waste production can be considered comparable to the waste generated in private homes and in particular those from the following activities (with CNAE - National classification of Economic activities number):
Admissible waste
The waste that may be admitted to the Mazarrón Ecopark for deposit and selective collection and subsequent management of the same for reuse, recycling, recovery or, ultimately, controlled disposal, are those listed below (with L.E.R. – European Waste List number).
As a general criterion, only waste from private homes and that produced in shops, offices or services, which due to their nature, composition and quantity are similar to that from homes, will be accepted, excluding any type of waste of industrial origin.
A - Non-hazardous waste

However, the Mazarrón Town Council may include other urban waste not contemplated or eliminate any of the aforementioned.
When it is verified that a user, even respecting the maximum quantities per delivery, has been depositing with high frequency some of the types of waste admissible in the installation, in notable quantities that may indicate a non-household or assimilated origin, or where appropriate industrial, the amounts contributed by said user may be limited, even prohibiting their entry. This limitation may be carried out by the contractor responsible for the management and operation service of the Ecopark, although it must immediately notify the technical management of the service.
Inadmissible waste
In general, the following types of waste will not be admissible in the Mazarrón Ecopark:
- Mixed urban waste
