The Harlequin Rock Choir welcome new members
The Harlequin Rock Choir is based on Camposol just North of the town of Mazarrón in Southern Spain’s Costa Calida region. They practice every Saturday afternoon from 1.15 pm till 4.00pm at the Cultural Centre on Camposol, and are always looking for new members. The growing number of singers has ensured that the sound is getting better and better but as members are sometimes away on trips or visits to the UK, they want to be sure they have enough people available to create their fantastic sound at all times. The programme is varied with some older songs such as 'You're My World' and a Queen Rock mix, to newer songs including Jesse Glyn's 'Rather Be' and 'Hold my Hand'. This variety all goes to make the practices and performances fun and interesting.
The aim is to provide concerts and support for the local communities and many charitable organisations that are in the area. Since 2013 they have helped to raise almost 7000 Euros for various local charities.
If you fancy singing for fun, with a friendly group of local people, contact Ida for details of how to get involved, and when to go. If you are planning an event and would like them to perform contact them, giving a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks notice in order for them to be best prepared for a performance.
