Guidelines for submitting articles to La Manga Club Today
Hello, and thank you for choosing La Manga ClubToday.com to publicise your organisation’s info or event.
La Manga Club Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on La Manga Club Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@lamangaclubtoday.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
Rules for taking food from the UK to Spain or bringing food back to the UK with you
Passengers generally aren’t allowed to bring meat or dairy from Britain to Spain
Carrying animal products, food or plants to Spain
Some notable additions include:
- Baby food: passengers arriving from the UK into Spain can bring up to 2kg of infant milk, infant food and special foods required for medical reasons. These items must not require refrigeration before opening and must be in their original containers. They must also be sealed unless currently in use.
- Pet food: Up to 2kg of pet food required for medical reasons is allowed, but the animal must be accompanying the passenger. In addition, the product must not require refrigeration and it must be in the original container.
- Plants, plant products and cut flowers: Passengers wishing to bring these items from the UK to Spain must be able to provide a phytosanitary (plant health) certificate attesting that the product is free from certain specific pests.
Bringing food from Spain back to the UK
Items allowed into England, Scotland and Wales from Spain:
- Any meat products
- Any dairy products
- All fish and seafood
- Other animal products, including eggs and honey
- All fruit and vegetables
Alcohol
- Beer: 110 litres
- Wine: 90 litres
- Spirits: 10 litres
- Fortified wine (e.g., sherry, port): 20 litres
