Welcome to the July 2025 issue of Home & Living!
The Home & Living Magazine, previously known as the Costa Calida Chronicle, has been supplying useful local information of interest to a loyal readership base for all that time. It is available to pick up at dozens of locations across the southwest of Spain this July, as well as to view online.
In this edition we’ve focused on ideas that work with the heat, not against it. From light, low-maintenance home upgrades to small outdoor projects that make a big impact, we’ve packed it with things that are genuinely useful this time of year. Because July isn’t about fuss—it’s about keeping things simple, easy and enjoyable. Whether you’re staying cool with the shutters drawn or out every night under the stars, we hope this issue gives you a few ideas to make summer that bit sweeter.

And finally, just a quick reminder to look after yourself in the sunshine. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, remember your sunscreen and take that siesta. A little care goes a long way in making sure you enjoy summer feeling your best.
Also, let’s not forget our four-legged friends. Pavements can become dangerously hot during the day, so always check the ground before walking your dog and avoid peak heat hours. And whatever you do, never leave pets in a parked car, even for a few minutes. A little extra caution can save lives.
