First ever disabled mini golf tournament for adults of all abilities
This November 4 and 5, 2023, La Manga Adventure Golf in Murcia is hosting the first Mini Golf Tournament exclusively for the disabled community, the first of its kind on a mini golf course.
Organised in conjunction with the European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA), who currently organise superb tournaments on traditional full-size golf courses, this 2-day tournament aims to bring golf to people of all abilities, especially those who find it difficult to play on a full-size golf course due to the cost, the length of time to complete a round, or indeed, the physical demands of swinging a golf club.
Entry to the tournament will be free of charge for the entire two days and, of course, only involves putting.
This inaugural tournament will be open to all ladies and gentlemen regardless of their disability, and limited to the first 24 people who register to take part.
Players will be placed in Leagues, where there will be a series of Round Robin Matches during Day One.
Day Two will be comprised of the quarter and semi-finals, culminating in the Grand Final and Awards Presentation.
Channel 4’s ‘A New Life in the Sun’ has already expressed their interest in filming this Tournament at La Manga Adventure Golf, appreciating the value of helping to promote EDGA and the all-inclusive activity and sport of Mini Golf.

The Family Adventure Golf course opens all year round from 10.30 in the morning until after dark and rounds are affordably priced at just 11 euros for adults and 6 euros for children, although many take advantage of the highly recommended Golf Meal Deal. This is available at 19 euros for adults and 12 euros for children, with special rates on offer for groups of over 10, and large groups including golf societies are welcome!
The Meal Deal choices include prime Icelandic cod and chips, Irish burger and chips, curry of the day, lasagne and the healthy tuna salad option (with a choice of dressings) as well as the traditional British ploughman’s lunch. Vegetarian burgers, lasagne and curry are also on the menu, while those arriving earlier in the day are often tempted by the full English breakfast and breakfast baps (on sale until 13.00) as they enjoy the light refreshing breeze on the outdoor terraces or the shade in the large indoor area, where major sports events are shown live on TV.
La Manga Adventure Golf also offers full access for the disabled to both the bar and the toilets and a large private off-road car park ensures there is no added inconvenience for less mobile visitors.
