Mazarrón celebrates its annual patron saint fiestas in early December

The end of the year is marked in the municipality of Mazarrón by a flurry of local fiestas, with the celebrations of the Miracle of Bolnuevo in the second half of November being quickly followed by the annual fiestas in Mazarrón itself to honour the patron of the town, the Virgen de la Purísima.

Alongside all the religious ceremonies and events during the week of the fiestas the Town Hall has also organized a series of live entertainment, all of which is free of charge unless stated below, and at the same time it’s worth making a note of the medieval market taking place in the old town centre between 5^th and 8^th December!

Saturday November 29

22.00: The gala at which the Queen of the Fiestas is chosen, featuring guest artist Mirela Cabero (followed by DJ music starting at midnight). Venue: La Aceña sports pavilion.

Sunday November 30

17.00: Las Aventuras de Stitch e Ángel, with Cantajuegos, a family show aimed at Young children which is currently touring the country. Venue: La Aceña sports pavilion.

Thursday December 4

22.00: The best comedy with “Los Únicos”, presented by Jaime Caravaca. Venue: La Aceña sports pavilion, tickets 10 euros.

December 5 to 8

The medieval market of Mazarrón is held int eh town centre, with a host of stalls selling arts and crafts, trinkets and food and drink and a wide range of street entertainment.

Friday December 5

22.00: Live music from Orquesta Mundial at the Pabellón de Deportes de La Aceña.

Saturday December 6

21.30: The Mazarrón Winter Fest features the best of the DJs currently on the local scene. Venue: La Aceña sports pavilion, tickets 10 euros in advance or 15 euros on the door.

Sunday December 7

22.00: Antonio Molina continues his nationwide “Me Prometo” tour at the La Aceña sports pavilion, Tickets 20 euros.
