July 31 to August 23 Sol Market in Los Alcázares
Fun, music, games, shopping at food every evening in Los Narejos
After the great success of last year's event the Parque del Gonio, close to the shore of the Mar Menor at the northern end of Los Narejos, welcomes the open-air Solmarket event to the Region of Murcia for the second time between 31st July and 23rd August, bringing with it live music, 15 food trucks, entertainment, arts and crafts and children’s activities.
Entry to the event is free of charge and the food trucks are serving a variety of wok noodles, sushi, hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches and Colombian and Mexican food, as well as a tasty array of desserts. But this is far more than just a gastronomic event, with other attractions including music (live on stage every evening), activities for children, artistic displays, stilt walkers, magicians, live performers and arts and crafts, as well as a chill-out zone and others.
The event opens in the Parque del Gonio from 19.00 to 1.00, occupying an area of over 5,000 m² as it continues its success along the eastern coast of mainland Spain in recent years.
According to local Mayor Mario Pérez Cervera, this kind of initiative encourages “quality tourism” and represents a boost for the local economy, and he hopes that the lights of Solmarket will be seen in Los Alcázares during the summer for many years to come.
