HELP Murcia Mar Menor supports Aidemar's work with €4,000 donation
The donation will help the 44-year-old organisation continue making a difference to around 1,000 people and their families

HELP Murcia Mar Menor has donated €4,000 to Aidemar, the San Javier-based organisation that has been supporting people with disabilities and their families for more than four decades.
The donation was presented during a visit by HELP volunteers to Aidemar's new training centre, where they were given a tour of the facilities and heard about the work being carried out there.
The centre provides classrooms, offices and a kitchen where students can learn practical skills and receive guidance as they prepare for working life. Developing greater independence is also a key part of the programme. Although classes are already taking place, some work on the new facilities is still being completed.
Aidemar also thanked the visiting volunteers with two handmade ceramic gifts, created by its team in San Pedro del Pinatar.
The visit brought further good news, with Aidemar having recently opened a café in San Javier and agreed to host one of HELP's collection tins, giving customers another way to support the charity.
Founded 44 years ago, Aidemar now supports around 1,000 people and their families, providing services and opportunities that make a real difference to people across the area.
HELP Murcia Mar Menor volunteers Trisha Brister, president, Margaret Leigh, secretary, and Cathie Williams, publicity secretary, were among those involved in the visit.
The €4,000 contribution will help Aidemar continue developing its facilities and supporting the people who rely on its services.
