Centro Sociocultural La Cárcel

The Centro Sociocultural "La Carcel" is the headquarters of the Totana municipal cultural centre and hosts a variety of exhibitions, and activities related to music, theatre, culture and art.

It takes its name from its history as a prison, built at the end of the 19th century, although has undergone substantial re-modelling since this time.

The building is home to the Municipal Library, which is open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2pm and and 5pm to 9pm, as well as Saturday 9.30am to 1pm.

It also hosts the municipal music school (music academy telephone number 968 422556).
