This villa was built by financier Martin Arbib back in the 1980s and the architect he commissioned was said to be inspired by Gaudí, the famous Spanish Modernista 19th century architect who designed the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. As such, the villa reflects organic natural forms, with very few straight walls but rather gentle curves, cut outs in internal walls and many alcoves incorporated throughout the property. The house flows with natural lines on stairs and patios, which creates a calming influence inside and out.
Set on the exclusive Calle de Estrella, “Street of Stars”, you are often alone with little more than birdsong and the swish of golf clubs set on the frontline of the world famous La Manga South Course. Seve Ballesteros once lived two houses up, in a property that is now being rebuilt into a wonderful modern villa.
This villa epitomises classic chic: the timeless combination of a vintage look juxtaposed with an ultra-modern kitchen extension opening onto an elevated patio with separate seating area and dining for 12 residents. Sometimes described as ‘Ibiza Style’, there are few hard edges, instead the focus is on natural forms, a tranquil flow and all-embracing comfort.
Description of the villa
This beautiful and thoughtfully designed and furnished property offers everything a family or group of friends could want for a relaxing stay full of sunshine, pool days, fabulous meal times and starry summer nights.
The design of the property offers itself perfectly to allowing guests time to eat, drink and relax together, but to also have privacy and time apart when needed. With separate wings, distinct living spaces and even a self-contained guest house with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a mini-kitchen.
Ground floor
Just past the private gates, guests will find an impressive driveway and access to both the main villa and annex to the left of this. Entering the main villa, you can find the two distinct and comfortable living spaces with sofas, chairs, a collection of books and television. Thoughtfully designed, both spaces lead directly onto the terraces which overlook the 6th hole of the South Golf Course, Lion Mountain and the Mar Menor to the distance.
Follow the living space to the left of the building to find a contemporary kitchen with all of the modern utilities and fittings you could need. Fully stocked and perfect for preparing family breakfasts, lunches and dinners to be enjoyed in the kitchen itself, with space for 6 diners, or the terrace which can be accessed directly from the sliding patio doors with space for 10.
To the right side of the villa, guests will find the master bedroom with super-king bed, private terrace with incredible views and ensuite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and bidet. This space even offers an incredible view of its own.

Lower level
Downstairs, you can find another three bedrooms. Perfectly cool on the lower level of the property, these bedrooms are the ideal place to escape the heat of the Murcian summer.
There is also an office space/storage room on this level.
On this level, to the outside of the property is where the garden and pool can be found. An impressive private pool with loungers and surrounded by grassy gardens, perfect for playing sports and games, and cooling off in the pool as and when required!
On this level outside the separate guest house can also be found; this space offers two comfortable bedrooms, a bathroom and work space with fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

The washing machine and tumble drier are located on the downstairs level in the utility/storage room. Guests are welcome to use the table tennis table in this space.
Please note that as the pool and terraces are not gated, we do not recommend this villa as suitable for children of under 5 years of age. Caution must be taken on and around balconies, terraces and pool areas and children must be supervised at all times.
